IMPORTANT NOTES for 2000 Season

·          To participate in the Club Championship and be eligible for trophies and prizes you must have played in a minimum of 3 regular season tournaments prior to the Club Championship.

·          In 2000 the IAGA PEBBLE BEACH POINTS POOL has been revised.   One Pebble Beach round will be awarded to the player who has earned the most points during the first four tournaments of the year.  You can also win a Pebble Beach round if you earn the most points during the final four tournaments of the year.  And you can win a Pebble Beach round if you have the most points for the total season.  You must play in a minimum of two tournaments out of four to be eligible for the Pebble Beach Points Pool.   To win the Total Season award, you must have played in at least 5 events for the season.

·          Points will be awarded for participation, first-second-third in each flight of each tournament, closest to the pin winners, and Long Drive winners.  The top players at the end of first half, second half, and total season will be awarded a round of golf at the exclusive Pebble Beach Golf Links in Monterey.

-           Participation in each tournament = 100 points / 150 points for Majors

-           Winner of each flight in each tournament = 50 points / 75 for Majors

-           Second of each flight in each tournament = 25 points / 40 for Majors

-           Third of each flight in each tournament = 15 points / 25 for Majors

-           Closest to the pin in each tournament = 25 points / 40 for Majors

-           Longest drive in each tournament = 25 points / 40 for Majors

If you happen to win more than once, you will be given a choice of another Pebble Beach round award or $300 cash.

 ·          In the event you are unable to make a tournament due to personal reasons, you will still earn a minimum of 50 points for the event.

·          All junior memberships (members less than 18 years old will be subsidized by 25% on all green fees and membership dues).    Members are encouraged to invite guests to the tournaments.  Guests will be charged a standard $130 to play and will not be eligible for any prizes for the tournament but will gain great exposure to the privileges of membership in the IAGA.

·          In 2000, the IAGA Tournament chairman will adhere to the entry deadlines very strictly.  This means that it will be each player’s responsibility to call in entries, or register on-line, and be fully paid prior to the due date.  You must show up at the course at least 15minutes before tee time, and play by the rules in effect for the tournament.   Late entries will not be eligible to play.   Late arrivals will not be eligible to play (no refunds), and violation of the rules will result in a committee review and possible removal from the Club.  While this may seem harsh, it is no different than membership in any other NCGA club,  and the IAGA is committed to upholding the integrity of the game of golf and the conduct of our membership so that everyone is enjoying their golf experience and everyone participates in a fair round of golf.

·          All renewals of membership must be received by the IAGA no later than February 11th, 2000.  It is critical you renew by this date so we can maintain your NCGA eligibility for 2000, otherwise YOU WILL BE DROPPED from the NCGA.  You can renew on-line with a credit card or call Rajesh Gautam at (510) 791-0349.  If we do not submit your name and renewal fees for the NCGA, your name will be removed from the NCGA roster and your handicap will no longer be valid nor will you be a NCGA member.   In effect any submission after the deadline will have to be treated as a new member and will require the new membership dues of $150 and a delay in receiving your 2000 NCGA card.   PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR RENEWAL ENTRIES TODAY!!!!!!!

  •  As  you can see we have really spent a lot of time improving the golfing experience for all of our members for the 2000 season.  However, making the changes alone will not create a better club.  That is up to each one of you.  Take the time to renew your membership, take the time to participate in every tournament, play a fair game, stick around at the end of the round for socializing with friends and members, make your membership an enjoyable experience in 2000.  There are a lot of reasons to be members in IAGA in 2000. We want you to play, we want you to win, and we want to send you to Pebble Beach!!!!!  We look forward to your participation and support and are excited about the growing membership.  This is going to be a great season.  See you all at Hiddenbrooke on March 18th – and bring a joke.
